Institute for Advanced Study Fellowship 2025

The Institute for Advanced Study (IAS) Fellowship 2025 is a prestigious academic program designed to foster independent research in a broad range of disciplines. Located in Princeton, New Jersey, the IAS offers approximately 20 fellowships each year, giving scholars the opportunity to engage in full-time research while residing on campus.

Overview of the IAS Fellowship 2025

Founded in 1930, the IAS supports scholars from various fields such as mathematics, natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities. The fellowship is intended for junior and senior scholars who wish to pursue advanced research without the distractions of teaching or administrative duties. The fellowship for the academic year 2025-2026 will be themed around Digital (In)Equality, although applicants can apply for unrelated projects as well.

Fellowship Benefits

Members (as the fellows are known) have access to comprehensive resources including office spaces, libraries, dining services, and housing. The fellowship provides a stipend that covers living expenses, ensuring that scholars can focus entirely on their research. For international scholars, the Institute also offers limited travel reimbursement. Fellows are encouraged to participate in seminars and collaborate with other scholars, making the IAS a hub for intellectual exchange.
